A fond farewell to LTAI Managing Director, Fergus Brennan
A Graduate of University College Dublin and a Chartered Accountant, Fergus Brennan joined Airmotive Ireland (AMI) as Financial Controller shortly after it was established in 1980. He wasted no time rising to Finance Director in 1986.
In the late 1980's, Fergus was instrumental in attracting Pratt & Whitney to Ireland, to establish PWA International.
Today, PWA International is a major engine case repair and overhaul facility, with approximately 180 employees.
In addition, Fergus was a prime force in attracting Lufthansa Technik to become shareholder of Airmotive Ireland thus forming Lufthansa Technik Airmotive Ireland ("LTAI") in 1997.
Committed and unstinting he became renowned for the range of his management ability, from fine technical details to the largest strategic issues.
In 2003, he was appointed Managing Director and has overseen the development of LTAI into a major player in the Engine MRO industry and a very significant employer within Ireland.
Fergus is well known for his bright, cheerful manner and strong integrity, qualities that have made him as popular in the Board Room as they do on the Golf course.
Following 28 years of dedication to the company, Fergus achieved his well earned retirement in March of this Year. However not one to withdraw completely from the business, Fergus will remain a Non Executive Director of the Boards of the Lufthansa Technik Companies in Ireland.
We wish Fergus, his wife Mary and his family, best wishes for a long, fruitful and happy retirement
